Release 2.3 incorporates the WRAP agile development toolset with more features and functions that are useful for developers and managers.

WRAP 2.3's new Virtual Taskboard gives you an intuitive and easy-to-understand view of even the largest projects. Using WRAP 2.3's Virtual Taskboard is almost like conducting a symphony orchestra! You can see at a glance how every task is related, and whether it is on schedule. Moving, changing, or updating tasks is as easy as snapping your fingers with automatic updates filtering through the entire project.

Security has always been an important part of the WRAP agile development process, and in version 2.3, we've made sure that security has remained a priority. New to this version, is role-based security, which ensures that features and resources are tightly controlled. Roles are assigned by the Administrator, Manager, Member, or Guest, with each category afforded a different, specific level of access.

Tracking the change history is made easy in WRAP 2.3 for all agile artifacts (user stories, tasks, defects, iterations, and releases). Also, the History Changes for each specific item are viewable from its Detail page.

New Features and Enhancements in WRAP 2.3

The Virtual Taskboard illustrates the progress that an agile team is making in achieving their iteration goals. In Taskboard, tasks for each story are displayed as cards in vertical swim lanes. There is a vertical swim lane for each task status. A new task starts in the left lane next to the Story column and moves towards the right as it progresses from one state to another. Usually during the Daily Sprint meeting, the team will discuss the task's progress and will update the task's status, estimates etc.

Role based security allows for better control of the accessibility of certain features and resources in WRAP by assigning specific roles to the users. WRAP has four predefined roles - Administrator, Manager, Member and Guest.

You can now track the complete history of changes made to agile artifacts in WRAP. The Change History was made available via Audit Report in WRAP Rel 2.0. Along with the Audit Report, you can now view an expanded and complete change history for specific items (user stories, tasks, defects, iterations and releases) on its Detail pages.

The Agile Process Map has been upgraded for WRAP 2.3 in order to provide a better look and feel and to contribute to the alignment of agile processes. The Agile Process Map is accessible from the Agile Process link under the Quick Links menu on left.

An email notification is sent to the Reporter and Owner by default in WRAP 2.3. Now, you can personalize the email notification delivery by selecting the option to receive or not to receive emails for the items that belong to you as the reporter or owner.

In WRAP 2.3, the Team Member page is enhanced with a display of two additional fields: Role and Status.

  • Inactive Users

WRAP 2.3 provides the ability to delete a subscription user by marking its status as 'Inactive'. An 'Inactive' user cannot log on to WRAP. All the artifacts owned by 'Inactive' user will continue to show that user as owner until it is owned by another user. Lastly, the owner drop-down for such artifacts will not show 'Inactive' users as valid entries.
